What a love.

When you think about Jesus, what comes to mind? When you think about Jesus’ life, what comes to mind? When you think about His crucifixion, what comes to mind? Why do you think Jesus was sent to earth?

Obviously Jesus was sent to die for our sins so that we may have eternal life in Heaven with our Wonderful, Beautiful, All-Powerful God! But there’s more! This story of an unfailing love gets even more beautiful. Has it ever crossed your mind that Jesus not only came to die for our sins, but He came in the form of a human being, just like us, so that we could relate to God in a more personal way. Think about it! How much harder would it be to have a relationship with God if Jesus hadn’t overcome temptation? A lot harder! But because God sent His son to be a human and to experience the same trials we experience we can say to God, “Lord, help me overcome the things of this world that are here to tear me down just as you helped your beautiful son, Jesus!” How absolutely mind blowing is it that Jesus felt the same emotions we feel, that Jesus hurt just like we hurt, that Jesus has walked just like we walk, that Jesus has felt betrayal the same way we have, that Jesus has cried just like we cry. Wherever you are in life, Jesus has been there! He knows exactly what you are going through!! Our relationship with God would be so different if He hadn’t sent His son to not only be our Savior, but to be a person we could relate to! We can relate to God! How unbelievably wonderful is the idea of that! So often we forget that Jesus came for more reasons than just dying for us. We were made in the image of God. We we created by the creator of all living and breathing things, of all things beautiful and wonderful. We were created to know our Maker intimately and to establish a beautiful relationship with Him. He sent His son, Jesus to make that relationship possible, and to make it so much easier! I’m not saying this glorious relationship is easy, at all, it takes work and effort just like any other relationship! But if God had not sent Jesus as He did, this relationship we have with God would be impossible! But God made it possible.

Now that is love.
